Dream of an island hideaway… a paradise where your cares drift away with the morning dew… a magical place to soothe your soul, revive your spirit and uncover a world where time melts into a crimson sunset. Escape to Little Cayman and give yourself over to relaxation. Little Cayman is the least developed of the three islands and is located 87 miles northeast of Grand Cayman, first discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1503 and rarely visited until recent times, Little Cayman is now a favorite destination.
At the Blue Lagoon our 12 ocean front rooms is located on 200 feet of sandy beach with a breathtaking view of the south hole sound and Owen island, all rooms are air-conditioned and 4 offer a kitchenette equipped with refrigerator, stove, toaster and microwave. Our open-air, screened in bar is so casual and Laid-back one could fall asleep drinking a Caybrew if it wasn’t for the good calypso music and the slamming of dominoes. You can’t help but love this place- there’s lots to see, splendor is in the eyes of the beholder, for example take in an eye-catching sunset from a Blue Lagoon hammock- this is what poets write about. With Bob Marley’s “Don’t worry about a thing” muffled in the background you can occupy one of the netted, hangings suspended between two coconut trees and get ready for the best production on Little Cayman. As the sun dips behind the fourth island (Owen Island) the bin tense red and orange hues of the sky take over and steal the show and then as quickly as it appeared- the show is over. As for the mysterious “green flash” yes it’s been seen on Little Cayman in a hammock at the Blue Lagoon. Commercial air service is provided by Cayman airways express flights running between Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman daily.
